Established in 2005 - GO Driving School has been set up to appeal to drivers of all ages, and as well as the promoting of safety standards on our roads we actively encourage our pupils young and old to actually enjoy the driving experience.

We do more than simply train you to ‘pass the test’, because so much more is involved. Rather, with our roads becoming busier and more complex, we train each one of our students to do this as ‘drivers’, and deal with prevailing circumstances in a mature, decisive and agreeable manner. As many will know, not all driving is black and white.

When you have passed your test there will still be much to learn. We have devised a one day Pass Plus course to challenge even the best new drivers. This will take place on the mainland to accelerate your experience in dealing with new situations on: Motorways, faster out of town roads, and city traffic. You can save upto 48% on your car insurance and more with this course! In the future we will be offering courses aimed at more experienced drivers.





 
Steve Waight
Steve is local and grew up in Newport, Isle of Wight after a successful career in sales and retail management, Steve chose a change in career to fulfil an ambition to run his own business.
He decided to do this as a driving instructor. From an early age Steve has loved cars, having gained experience with BSM and the AA since 2002, Steve built the confidence over this time to now build his own driving school.

After attaining a high standard as an instructor, Steve is serious about continued development and hopes as a result to offer a wider range of training courses aimed at experienced drivers, as well as to continue to teach learners.


Alan Gaden
Alan moved to the Isle of Wight in 2003 and now lives in Freshwater.He became a driving instructor in 1990 and spent 13 years teaching pupils to drive in and around the turbulent streets of south London so he brings a wealth of experience with him to the island.
He is well known for his patience and understanding attitude towards his pupils and firmly believes that pupils should enjoy their driving experiences.
